Recap: Meadow Bridge Wildcats vs. James Monroe Mavericks
The Meadow Bridge Wildcats lost against the James Monroe Mavericks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Meadow Bridge had to suffer through a rough 94-23 loss at the hands of James Monroe. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Meadow Bridge in their matchups with James Monroe: they've now lost four in a row.
James Monroe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Cole out in front who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cole has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Ridgeway, who scored 16 points along with nine assists and five steals.
Meadow Bridge's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-3. As for James Monroe, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bath County at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. As for James Monroe, they will head out on the road to face off against Montcalm at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
