Volleyball Recap: Routt Catholic Comes Up Short at Home Against Brown County

Routt Catholic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Brown County Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Routt Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Grace Cleveland paced Routt Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cleveland got some help from Madi Maro and her nine assists.

Routt Catholic will be taking part in a tournament against LaSalle-Peru at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brown County, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Illini West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
