The Vero Beach Indians will square off against the Melbourne Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vero Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season.

Vero Beach hadn't beaten Centennial on the road since December 10, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Indians walked away with a 64-51 win over the Eagles.

Vero Beach's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Collier, who shot 64% from the field en route to 18 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Sanders, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Melbourne ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against Satellite by a score of 56-49. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Melbourne's record is now 4-1. As for Vero Beach, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Vero Beach came up short against Melbourne in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 62-54. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
