Volleyball Recap: Kaylee Ward's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Lincoln over Stuart W. Cramer + How To Watch

After flying high against Bessemer City last Thursday, West Lincoln came back down to earth. The Rebels took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stuart W. Cramer Storm on Tuesday. The Rebels' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-14, 25-19.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Ward, who had 15 digs and two aces. Ward is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Shayleigh Truesdale was another key player, getting 12 digs and two assists.

West Lincoln's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Stuart W. Cramer, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

West Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Bunker Hill on the 27th. Stuart W. Cramer has also already played their next matchup (against Bessemer City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
