Softball Recap: Martins Mill Comes Up Short

Martins Mill lost against Fruitvale last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Martins Mill Mustangs came up short against the Fruitvale Bobcats, falling 7-1. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly six runs.

Martins Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fruitvale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martins Mill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Big Sandy at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Fruitvale, they will face off against Como-Pickton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
