Soccer Game Preview: Eustis vs. Tavares

Eustis and Tavares are an even 3-3-4 against one another since November of 2019, but likely not for long. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Eustis is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against North Marion on Friday. Neither Eustis nor North Marion could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Despite a strong season so far, Tavares has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Leesburg on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 82nd).

With that draw, Eustis' record moves to 1-7-1. As for Tavares, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Eustis suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Tavares in their previous meeting back in November. Can Eustis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
