Soccer Recap: Kankakee Valley Comes Up Short

Kankakee Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies. Kankakee Valley were not able to make up for their loss to Plymouth from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Jorge Pena wasn't going to let Plymouth walk away unscathed as he scored both of Kankakee Valley's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Kankakee Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Plymouth, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kankakee Valley will square off against Munster at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Munster's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Plymouth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkhart Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
