Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2020-21 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence, in addition to local and state accolades.

Aaronette Vonleh of West Linn is the 2020-21 MaxPreps Oregon High School Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4 senior forward led the Tigers to a 10-3 record in an abbreviated season with no postseason play.

Vonleh averaged 29.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks a game while shooting 70 percent from the field.

The four-star prospect pumped in 43 points and 11 rebounds in a 82-20 victory over St. Mary's Academy (Portland) and rarely played more than 20 minutes in a game this season.

Committed to Arizona, Vonleh is regarded as the No. 9 post prospect and No. 100 Class of 2021 prospect overall in the ESPN Hoopgurlz Top 100.
