Softball Recap: Western Reserve Roughriders vs. Mapleton Mounties
Western Reserve was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Mapleton Mounties. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mounties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Monday.
Western Reserve saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Case, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Lilliana Jarrett also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Western Reserve's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Mapleton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-10.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Western Reserve will challenge rival Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mapleton is set to square off against their familiar foe South Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
