Softball Recap: Graford Beats Lipan for Their Third Straight Victory

Graford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Lipan Indians. That's more bragging rights for the Rabbits, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trinity Leach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 16 Ks. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Lilly Ruddy was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Savahannah Martin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Graford's record now sits at 4-6. As for Lipan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Graford will host Saint Jo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lipan, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against De Leon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in De Leon's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
