Volleyball Recap: Hickory Flat Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hickory Flat lost against New Albany back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rebels lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rebels have suffered since September 2nd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-12.

New Albany got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sara Barton Ozbirn out in front who had seven digs and two aces. Ozbirn has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last five times she's played. Lizzie Moore was another key player, getting seven digs and four aces.

Hickory Flat has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16-1 record this season. As for New Albany, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 25-10-4.
