Football Game Preview: Virginia High Bearcats vs. Tazewell Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Virginia High Bearcats will take on the Tazewell Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tazewell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Virginia High, who comes in off a win.

Virginia High was handed a 36-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They slipped by Grayson County 27-26.

Meanwhile, Tazewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Giles 43-13. The matchup was a close 7-6 at the break, but unfortunately for the Bulldogs it sure didn't stay that way.

Virginia High's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.3 points over those games. As for Tazewell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Virginia High against Tazewell in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-7 victory. In that contest, the Bearcats amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
