Volleyball Recap: Zephyrhills Comes Up Short

Zephyrhills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Land O' Lakes Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-4.

Land O' Lakes had a senior duo take command as Jada Christian had 15 assists and five aces and Isabell Cula had seven aces and three digs. Christian is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Land O' Lakes, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Zephyrhills will take on Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Land O' Lakes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pasco on the 27th.
