Baseball Game Preview: Beulah Bobcats vs. Alabama Christian Academy Eagles

The Beulah Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beulah is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Beulah will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Handley, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Beulah came out on top against Handley by a score of 7-4 on Monday.

Brady Blackston and Braydon Tapley were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Blackston pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Tapley pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs Blackston has allowed since back in February of 2024. At the plate, Blackston scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Tapley scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Blackston has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Sye Siggers was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Wes Grant, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Meanwhile, Alabama Christian Academy came up short against Montgomery Catholic on Tuesday and fell 8-3.

Beulah's record now sits at 3-0. As for Alabama Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Beulah might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Alabama Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Beulah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
