Volleyball Game Preview: Yuba City Honkers vs. Nevada Union Miners + How To Watch

The Yuba City Honkers will head out on the road to challenge the Nevada Union Miners at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nevada Union took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Yuba City, who comes in off a win.

Yuba City proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Placer 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Honkers have posted since October 1, 2024.

Yuba City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Nevada Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Francis.

Yuba City's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Nevada Union, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.

Yuba City came up short against Nevada Union in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Honkers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
