Football Recap: Taylorville Tornadoes vs. Civic Memorial Eagles
Taylorville won the last time they faced Civic Memorial and things went their way on Friday too. The Tornadoes walked away with a 24-17 victory over the Eagles.

Taylorville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Spencer Brown, who rushed for 146 yards and two scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Brown a new career-high. Owen Mateer was another key back, rushing for 104 yards and one touchdown.
Civic Memorial's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Clouser and Kevahn Flanagan. Clouser rushed for 130 yards on only 13 carries, while Flanagan rushed for 56 yards and a pair of TDs.
