Breckinridge County extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping their season record up to 13-7 in the process. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Hancock County Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 on Thursday.

Connor Willis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Breckinridge County got a big performance out of Adam Howell, who earned two runs and three stolen bases. Jonah Miller also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As for Hancock County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.
