Macon County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They managed a 56-51 victory over the Perry Panthers. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Panthers are ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Macon County pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.4 points per game. As for Perry, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Macon County will square off against Taylor County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Macon County likes a good challenge. As for Perry, they will host Warner Robins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
