Preview: Marshall Christian Academy Guardians vs. Atlanta Rabbits
The Marshall Christian Academy Guardians's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Atlanta Rabbits at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Marshall Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Word of God Academy, taking the game 62-52. The victory was all the more spectacular given Marshall Christian Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 641st in Texas, while Word of God Academy is ranked 144th in Louisiana).
It was another big night for Madelyn Hester, who scored 25 points. Macy Hester was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, even though Henderson scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, Atlanta still came out on top. Atlanta managed a 60-55 win over Henderson. The victory was just what Atlanta needed coming off of a 64-39 defeat in their prior matchup.
Marshall Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Atlanta, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
