Basketball Recap: Cambridge-Isanti Takes a Loss

Cambridge-Isanti lost against Monticello back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets had to suffer through a 83-19 loss at the hands of the Monticello Magic. While losing is never fun, the Bluejackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Magic are ranked 11th).

Cambridge-Isanti has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Monticello, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Cambridge-Isanti is taking a road trip to challenge St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monticello, they will challenge Princeton at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Monticello's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
