Baseball Recap: Park School Has No Trouble Against Pallotti

Park School barely beat Pallotti the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Panthers on Thursday. The Bruins have beaten the Panthers the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Dylan Katz and Jack Rogers did most of the damage at the plate: Katz went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Rogers went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Rogers a new career-high. Owen Cyr also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Park School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pallotti only posted an OBP of .367.

Park School's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Pallotti, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park School will head out to square off against St. Frances Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 12.8 runs per game this season. As for Pallotti, they will venture away from home to face off against Key at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
