Volleyball Recap: East Troy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

East Troy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Trojans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

East Troy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carli Murphy led the charge by getting eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Murphy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Wojciuch, who had seven assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: East Troy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

East Troy's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

East Troy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Dodgeville on the 20th. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Brodhead on the 20th.
