In what's become a running theme this season, Wetumpka gave their fans yet another huge victory in their second game on Friday. They blew past the Homewood Patriots 16-5. Winning may never get old, but Wetumpka sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ella Watson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also only allowed one walk). Watson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Wetumpka got a massive performance out of Mari Beth Parette, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Riley Dismukes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
