Baseball Recap: Borah Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Borah and Kuna, and Kuna kept the tradition alive. The Lions fell 4-1 to the Kavemen on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kavemen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Brady Robinson was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Robinson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Colton Dennis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Borah has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Kuna, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borah will face off against Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Kuna, they will square off against Capital at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
