Baseball Recap: La Salle College Explorers vs. Central Lancers

La Salle College gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Central Lancers an 11-0 shutout. The Explorers haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Jack Pye looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brycen Clarke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ronnie Raby, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Salle College is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Archbishop Carroll at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will head out to take on Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
