Jamestown can finally bid farewell to their 15-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Southwestern Trojans out 8-7. Jamestown's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Southwestern's part, Ariana Silakowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.
