Basketball Recap: Shelby Comes Up Short

Shelby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Hart Pirates, falling 72-33. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-29 back in December of 2024.

Shelby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Hart, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Shelby Tigers take on the Hesperia Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shelby is facing Hesperia at the right time seeing as Hesperia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hart, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Muskegon at 7:00 p.m.
