Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Comes Up Short

Lincoln-Way West was the 2-0 winner over Stagg when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln-Way West came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 27-25.

Dean Hammad was a one-man wrecking crew For Stagg. as he had 23 digs and four assists. Those 23 digs gave Hammad a new career-high.

Lincoln-Way West's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Stagg, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

Lincoln-Way West has already played their next match (against Lincoln-Way Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Stagg, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Bradley-Bourbonnais on the 1st.
