Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Branford walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bell Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Adriauna Combs paced Branford's offense, picking up 12 kills. Combs got some help from Mylie Fernandez and her 29 assists. Lalyn Sikes controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Branford's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Bell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Branford will face off against Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
