Sierra Canyon senior won't make decision until after season ends.

Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) senior Bronny James is expected to wait until the end of the high school basketball season to announce his college decision with three schools as the current favorites for his services, according to Luca Evans of the Los Angeles Times.

Ohio State, Oregon and USC, Evans reports, are in position to land James.

The 6-foot-3 guard has been in the national spotlight since his freshman season. His progress has been followed intensely in part because of his famous father's stated desire to share the court with him in the NBA.

Bronny James has handled the attention with class throughout his career. He's averaging 15.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 steals for the 18-4 Trailblazers, who are ranked No. 24 this week in the MaxPreps Top 25.

Wherever Bronny ends up at the next level, it appears he will need time to develop into an NBA player on his own merit and could benefit from a school that sees him as a fit for the next three to four seasons in the NCAA.

Although expectations will be high for the son of the soon-to-be all-time leading scorer in NBA history, the four-star guard is not expected to come into a program and be the go-to guy right away, but instead could begin his college career as a key reserve just as he did during his high school career with Sierra Canyon.
