Santa Cruz Valley never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They didn't even let the ALA - Anthem South Titans on the board, marking Santa Cruz Valley's second-straight 19-0 shutout. Considering the Dust Devils have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emilee Brown and Tatiyana Reyes did most of the damage at the plate: Brown went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Reyes scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Davis, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Santa Cruz Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Santa Cruz Valley and bumps their season record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for ALA - Anthem South, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Santa Cruz Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Horizon Honors on the 27th. As for ALA - Anthem South, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-16 win against St. John Paul II Catholic on the 28th.
