First Flight dropped down to 13-8 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the South Central Falcons, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Nighthawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for South Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

For South Central's part, Justin Bloww made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Bloww has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
