Ethan Lopez commands the offense for Bulldogs win

Recap: North Valley Baptist Bulldogs vs. DCP Alum Rock Lobos

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the North Valley Baptist Bulldogs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past DCP Alum Rock with a 58-53 victory. The win was familiar territory for North Valley Baptist who now have four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Valley Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Lopez, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Lara, who scored 15 points.

Despite the loss, DCP Alum Rock still got an impressive performance from Tony Clarida, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. Clarida hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Jonathan Medina was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

North Valley Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for DCP Alum Rock, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Valley Baptist will square off against KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Valley Baptist is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for DCP Alum Rock, they will head out on the road to challenge East Palo Alto Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Palo Alto Academy is facing DCP Alum Rock at the right time seeing as DCP Alum Rock is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
