Basketball Recap: Melba Comes Up Short

Melba was the 67-52 winner over Parma when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Melba Mustangs received a blow on Monday as they fell 67-50 to the Parma Panthers.

Nathan Compas was his usual excellent self, putting up 25 points for Parma. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Cuevas, who posted 15 points.

Melba has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Parma, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Melba does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parma, they will take on The Ambrose School at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ambrose School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Parma likes a good challenge.
