Soccer Game Preview: Marblehead vs. Melrose

The Marblehead Magicians will head out on the road to take on the Melrose Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marblehead's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Marblehead and Winthrop finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Melrose's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Watertown on Monday.

Marblehead's draw gives them a new season record of 13-5-2. As for Melrose, they now have a losing record of 8-9-2.

Marblehead couldn't quite get it done against Melrose when the teams last played back in October of 2023 as they fell 5-3. Can the Magicians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
