Shadow Mountain has gone 9-1 against Moon Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Matadors will face off against the Rockets at 3:45 p.m. Shadow Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Shadow Mountain earned a 12-7 victory over Goldwater. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Michael Collins was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Farrugia, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Shadow Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. They are 5-1-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 11-4 to Agua Fria.

Crystian Norstrom was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Samuel Peterson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Shadow Mountain, their record is now 8-10-1.

Moon Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Shadow Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. It's a different story for Moon Valley, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Shadow Mountain's hitters?

Shadow Mountain couldn't quite get it done against Moon Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-7. Can the Matadors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
