Baseball Game Preview: Azle Hornets vs. Argyle Eagles

For the second straight game, Azle will face off against Argyle. The Hornets will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Azle heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell just short of Argyle by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hornets have suffered since March 12th.

Azle got a good showing from Diesel Fields, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Azle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Holleman, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Azle has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season. As for Argyle, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
