Beachwood can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 25-15 margin over the Hawken Hawks. The Bison's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Allie Rindsberg was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with six runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Grover, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Beachwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Hawken, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, Beachwood will head out to take on Harvey at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hawken, they will host Andrews Osborne Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Phoenix have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.86 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
