Soccer Recap: East Davidson Takes a Loss

East Davidson and Pine Lake Prep squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but East Davidson had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pride. While losing is never fun, East Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Pine Lake Prep are ranked 55th).

East Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 10-13-2. As for Pine Lake Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

East Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will welcome Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
