Soccer Recap: Johnson County Takes a Loss

Johnson County's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Dooly County Bobcats by a score of 2-1. If Johnson County were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to Dooly County when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Johnson County's goal came courtesy of Jersi Carswell, who's now up to five this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnson County and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Dooly County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-11.

Johnson County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dublin at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Dooly County, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Hawkinsville on the 23rd.
