Baseball Recap: Windermere Prep Triumphs

Windermere Prep's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Crooms Academy Panthers by a score of 15-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Nicolas Pe?a, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Hollern, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Windermere Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crooms Academy only posted an OBP of .269.

Windermere Prep's record now sits at 6-4. As for Crooms Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will challenge East Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crooms Academy, they will take on Lake Mary Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
