Soccer Recap: Coastal Christian Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Coastal Christian has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 3-0 to the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes on Monday. Coastal Christian were not able to make up for their loss to Cape Fear Academy from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Coastal Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Cape Fear Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coastal Christian and Cape Fear Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Centurions will square off against Swansboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (75 vs. 279). Meanwhile, Cape Fear Academy (ranked 85th) will meet Wayne Christian (ranked 331st) at 4:30 p.m. on the 30th.
