Canby put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Cougars with a sharp 66-40 win. Fans of Canby have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Canby's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxon Lawson led the charge by going 7 of 10 en route to 15 points along with eight assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Vandecoevering, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Canby smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Canby's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Canby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 95-49 defeat against Southridge on the 17th. As for Mountain View, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mountain View Cougars face off against the Junction City Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
