Volleyball Recap: Hilliard Bradley Takes a Loss

Hilliard Bradley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Thursday.

Hilliard Bradley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-17.

David Sang paced Hilliard Bradley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sang got some help from Noah Santone and his 28 assists. Santone also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Shannen Stevenson, racking up two apiece.

Hilliard Davidson was led to victory by Logan Buck and Enzo Van Gundy. Buck had 16 digs and two aces, while Van Gundy had 14 digs. The dominant performance also gave Buck a new career-high in assists (three).

Hilliard Bradley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hilliard Davidson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Hilliard Bradley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Olentangy Liberty on the 22nd. As for Hilliard Davidson, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Dublin Coffman on the 22nd.
