Basketball Recap: Choctaw Central Triumphs

Choctaw Central won the last time they faced Northeast Lauderdale and things went their way on Monday too. The Choctaw Central Warriors walked away with a 59-49 victory over the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Choctaw Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Northeast Lauderdale, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7.

Choctaw Central and Northeast Lauderdale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. Choctaw Central (ranked 24th) will meet Newton County (ranked 96th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northeast Lauderdale (ranked 64th) will meet Resurrection Catholic (ranked 239th) at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
