Volleyball Recap: Phoenix Christian Comes Up Short

Phoenix Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the North Valley Christian Academy Lions. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-4, 25-11.

North Valley Christian Academy was led to victory by Mackenzie Benso and Brooke Lovas. Benso had six aces and four digs, while Lovas had ten aces and four digs. What's more, Lovas posted two kills, the most she's had since back in August of 2024.

Phoenix Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Phoenix Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Phoenix Country Day on the 2nd. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Campo Verde on the 29th.
