Cienega has gone a perfect 10-0 against Desert View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bobcats will welcome the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. Cienega is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Cienega got the win against Nogales by a conclusive 17-4. Considering the Bobcats have won 18 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sophia Butt made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Allison Mullen and Micaela Valenzuela did most of the damage at the plate: Mullen went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, two stolen bases, and three doubles, while Valenzuela went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. What's more, Valenzuela posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Melissa Barron was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Cienega hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in nine consecutive games.
The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Desert View and Buena had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Jaguars fell 10-5 to the Colts on Thursday. Jaguars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Colts since on Thursday.
Leyla Garza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Myla Sutton, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Cienega has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Desert View, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11.
Desert View's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Cienega has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Desert View, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 strikeouts. Will Cienega keep running through batters, or will the Jaguars buck the trend?
Cienega took their win against Desert View in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
