Volleyball Recap: LKY Wins Going Away Against Varsity Opponent

LKY entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past Varsity Opponent 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Saints this season.

LKY never let Varsity Opponent on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-11.

LKY can attribute much of their success to Grace Grider, who had 15 digs and two assists. Those 15 digs gave Grider a new career-high. Tovah Howell also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

LKY was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They are 7-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

LKY's victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Looking ahead, LKY will challenge Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Da Vinci on the 12th.
