It was a good run, but Benson unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. David Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for St. David, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-15.

Looking ahead, Benson will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Augustine Catholic at 6:00 p.m. As for St. David, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Morenci on the 11th.
