Baseball Game Preview: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Bonanza Bengals

For the second straight game, Silverado will face off against Bonanza. The Skyhawks will head out to challenge the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Silverado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Silverado is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since March 25th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Bonanza 2-1. The Skyhawks haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hogan Hawkins made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Hawkins wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Bledsoe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Silverado hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonanza struck out eight times.

Bonanza moved to 11-16 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Silverado, their record now sits at 16-8.
